In response to President Donald Trump’s directive to freeze trillions of dollars in federal funding, loans and grants, Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas issued the following statement:

PASADENA — Speaker Robert Rivas joined community leaders, state legislators and emergency responders in Pasadena on Thursday as Governor Newsom signed a $2.5 billion package to provide immediate aid L.A. wildfire recovery.

The legislation, which passed with bipartisan support by the State Legislature earlier on Thursday, will:
