Legislature Greenlights Skinner & Rivas’ Carbon Sequestration Bill, SB 27

SACRAMENTO - The California State Senate today passed Sen. Nancy Skinner’s carbon sequestration bill, SB 27, on a vote of 34-4. SB 27, which is co-authored by Assemblymember Robert Rivas, D-Salinas, won bipartisan approval in the State Assembly yesterday on a 75-0 vote.

AB 271 Passes Out of Senate with Unanimous Support

SACRAMENTO – Legislation by Assemblymember Robert Rivas (D-Salinas) to protect Silicon Valley and Assembly District 30 from dam failure passed off the Senate Floor this afternoon with a unanimous, bipartisan vote of 39-0. Assembly Bill 271 will assist the earthquake retrofitting and replacement of Anderson Dam located in Morgan Hill.
