(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Robert Rivas (D-Hollister) proudly named Evelia Morales Rosso Assembly District 30’s 2019 Woman of the Year. Rosso was honored as part of a Women’s History Month celebration at the State Capitol hosted by the Legislative Women’s Caucus.

“Governor Gavin Newsom reinforced his commitment to a cleaner and smarter California and to tackling our state’s most pressing issues head on. This is a Governor who is serious about housing because it’s a serious problem. And we know it’s not just a big city issue; the state’s housing shortage has a huge impact on our rural communities,” said Rivas. “That’s why I’m committed to working with the Governor and local leaders to ensure that all Californians are able to put a roof over their heads. A key piece of this for our district is ensuring that farmworkers have the quality, dignified housing they deserve.”

Eligible employees who are furloughed or continue to work without timely payment of their earned wages will be able to file for Unemployment Insurance (UI)

(SACRAMENTO) - Robert Rivas (D-Hollister) took the oath of office to serve as the Assemblymember for the 30th Assembly District today at the California State Capitol. The oath was administered by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. The 30th Assembly district includes the Salinas Valley and Big Sur, San Benito County, Watsonville, Gilroy, and Morgan Hill.
