And we know it’s not just a big city issue; the state’s housing shortage has a huge impact on our rural communities,” said Rivas. “That’s why I’m committed to working with the Governor and local leaders to ensure that all Californians are able to put a roof over their heads. A key piece of this for our district is ensuring that farmworkers have the quality, dignified housing they deserve.”

The oath was administered by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. The 30th Assembly district includes the Salinas Valley and Big Sur, San Benito County, Watsonville, Gilroy, and Morgan Hill.
