7:00 AM - Staff Registration at N Street Entrance to Capitol. Coffee and breakfast available for staff.
7:15 AM - Team Huddle for staff in the Capitol Review assignments for the day. Last-minute training.
7:30 AM – 7:45 AM - Sergeants will be by to open viewing rooms. Note, Sergeants will not open a room without a legislative staff member present.
7:30 AM - Building Operations team at their first post.
7:45 AM - Special Guest buses will arrive on 10th Street. Registration for this group will take place on 10th Street.
8:00 AM - Capitol Opens to the public. Breakfast is available in the rotunda / West Steps. Credentialed media may enter the Capitol.
8:20 AM - Mariachi’s perform in the Rotunda
9:00 AM - Swing Space 1100 opens for staff viewing of the ceremony (optional)
9:00 AM - Guest Seating Begins
Registration staff will shift to viewing rooms as registration winds down.
9:15 AM - Guest seating concludes.
9:30 AM - Session / Ceremony Begins
11:00 AM - Ceremony concludes. Reception in the Rotunda for guests.
Sergeants will be by to lock committee rooms.
11:30 AM - Staff Appreciation Party at the California Museum.
1:30 PM - All events conclude. Cleanup.
2:00 PM - Tours and all floors of the Capitol re-open to the public.
